Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will face Southwest Baptist in the first round of the 2019 MIAA Men's Basketball Championship on Wednesday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
• Lindenwood enters postseason play as the seventh seed in the MIAA Men's Basketball Championship. The Lions closed out the regular season by winning five of its final six games.
• Wednesday's first-round matchup between Lindenwood and Southwest Baptist will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams. The home team prevailed in each of the first two meetings.
• Lindenwood and Southwest Baptist have met 12 times dating back to the start of the 2011-12 season. The Lions own a 7-5 edge during those 12 meetings, and the two teams have alternated wins during each of the last five contests since the 2015-16 season.
• Lindenwood has now qualified for the MIAA Men's Basketball Championship in each of the last six seasons.
• The winner of Wednesday's first-round contest will face second-seeded, Washburn in a quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium.

Brad Newman led Lindenwood in scoring during the 2018-19 regular season, averaging 21.1 points per game. Newman surpassed the 20-point plateau in 16 different games this season, and eclipsed 30 points on five occasions.
• Newman averaged an MIAA-leading 23.5 points per game during his 19 games against conference opponents this season. All five of Newman's 30-point performances this season occurred against MIAA foes.
• Among qualified shooters, Newman finished fifth in the MIAA in free-throw percentage, connecting on 85.4 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe (140-of-164).

Chandler Diekvoss was the second leading scorer among the Lions this season, averaging 15.4 points per game. Diekvoss ranked 15th in the MIAA in scoring average.
• Diekvoss was Lindenwood's leading rebounder this season, securing an average of 6.7 rebounds per game. Diekvoss was eighth in the MIAA in total rebounding this season.
• Throughout the season, Diekvoss collected a team-leading six double-double performances, four of which came against MIAA opponents.
• Diekvoss shot a career-high 55.1 percent from the field this season, the second-best shooting percentage among all qualified shooters in the MIAA.

Adam Pohlman averaged a career-high 5.1 assists per game this season, leading Lindenwood and ranking third in the MIAA.
• Pohlman finished the season as the MIAA leader in assist-to-turnover ratio with a mark of 3.8. Pohlman ranks third across all of NCAA Division II in the category.

Diego Womack has started 27 consecutive games for the Lions, which also represent the first 27 starts of his collegiate career.Â
• During his sophomore campaign, Womack ranked third on the team in scoring (8.9 points per game), second in rebounding (4.9 rebounds per game), and first in blocks (0.73 blocks per game).

Chris King hit 38 three-point field goals for Lindenwood this season, the second-highest total on the team. King hit multiple three-pointers in 10 different games this season. Overall, Newman led the Lions with 61 makes from beyond the arc in 2018-19.
• Over the final nine games of the season,
TJ Crockett averaged 9.1 points per game, the third-highest mark on the team during that stretch. Included in those nine games for Crockett were four double-digit scoring performances.

Drew Moore made a career-high 26 starts for the Lions this season. During Lindenwood's regular-season finale, Moore registered 10 points, giving him five games this season with double-digit scoring.
Lindenwood Team Notes
• Lindenwood finished the 2018-19 season with a 16-15 overall record. The Lions have won at least 15 games in five consecutive seasons, including in all four seasons under the direction of head coach
Lance Randall.
• Lindenwood closed out the 2018-19 campaign by winning five of its final six games, including a perfect 3-0 record on the road, en route to a sixth consecutive MIAA Championship Tournament berth.
• The Lions are 4-2 in neutral-site contests this season, and have won two consecutive games on neutral courts. Over the last four seasons, Lindenwood has posted a 9-3 record during neutral-site games.
• Lindenwood led at the half during five of its final six games this season, winning all five contests in which it led at the intermission. On the season, the Lions were 13-3 when leading the opposition at halftime, as opposed to just 3-12 when trailing at the break.
• The Lions shot 46.3 percent from the field this season, tied for eighth in the MIAA. Lindenwood was 14-4 in its 18 games when it had a higher shooting percentage than the opponent.
• Lindenwood has won its last four games that were decided by single-digit margins. On the season, the Lions were 7-11 during games decided by 10 points or less.
