The Lions overwhelmed Roosevelt University 16-1 for their third win in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) Friday night at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, Illinois.
After scoring four in the opening period, Lindenwood added another eight tallies in the second before adding another four-spot in the third.
Andy Willis lit the lamp four times and
Vegard Faret had a hat trick as well. Freshman
Kyle Jeffers sounded the horn for his first collegiate goal.
The Lions outshot the Lakers 63-18 and
Ethan Paulin-Hatch stopped 17 of the 18 pucks he faced, earning his first collegiate win with his first collegiate start in goal.
Lindenwood improved to 7-3-0 overall and remained undefeated in CSCHL play this season. The Lions will go for the series sweep Saturday night with the opening faceoff set for 7 p.m. at the Edge Ice Arena.
