After lighting up the scoreboard last night, the Lions hit double-digits again in a 10-1 victory over Roosevelt University Saturday night at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, Illinois.
Lindenwood built a 3-1 lead in the first period and extended the advantage to 6-1 by the end of the second. Another four tallies in the third created the final margin for the Lions.
Andy Willis earned the hat trick with three goals and
Caige Sterzer added two to help pace the Lindenwood offense.
The Lions outshot the Lakers 69-15 as Ethan Paulin Hatch stopped 14 of the 15 shots he faced to earn the victory in goal.
With the win, Lindenwood improved to 8-3-0 overall and to 4-0-0 in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL). After a weekend off, the Lions return to the ice for another CSCHL series at home against Iowa State University November 13-14. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7:10 p.m. Saturday night and at 2:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
