The Lindenwood men's basketball team (3-1) will return to Hyland Arena on Tuesday, as the Lions host Westminster College (3-3) at 7:00 p.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions are coming off an 80-77 win over Christian Brothers in the first road test of the season. Lindenwood was down 77-75 with 1:25 to play, but
Brandon Trimble put Lindenwood back on top with a big three-point bucket with less than a minute to play.Â
Romelo Burrell sealed the deal with a pair of free throws to give Lindenwood the three-point road victory.
Burrell dropped 23 points in the game, and pulled down eight boards. The Chicago, Ill. native was just two rebounds away from registering his fourth double-double on the year.Â
Jacoby Ross tallied 22 points, as he was a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.Â
Frazier Ott had a strong night, as he posted a career-high 10 points and pulled down five boards.
Burrell is posting big numbers for the Lions with his 21.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest. Ross is leading all scorers, as the New Orleans, La. native is averaging 23.8 points across his four starts.Â
Kevin Caldwell Jr. is finding ways to make an impact on the game. Caldwell Jr. has a team-high 14 assists to go along with the second-most rebounds on the team with 21.
Lindenwood is averaging over 80 points in its last three games, as the Lions are shooting 82.5 percent as a team from the free throw line.
