The Lindenwood men's basketball team (4-2, 0-1 GLVC) is at the midway point of its current five-game home stand, as the Lions host Quincy (4-2, 0-0 GLVC) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. inside Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions are looking to bounce back from a tough 90-84 loss to Maryville in overtime on Monday. Lindenwood hit 15 three-pointer in the game, including five from
Jacoby Ross. Ross ended the night with 27 points, as four three other Lions registered double-digit points.Â
Brandon Trimble (4-of-5) and
Kevin Caldwell Jr. (4-of-9) each registered 12 points from behind the arc.
Lindenwood closed out the month of November with a 4-2 record, including three wins inside Hyland Arena. The Lions are averaging a plus-3.0 rebound margin with a plus-3.0 turnover margin through six games this year. Lindenwood is also compiled 5.5 blocks per contest, as the 33 total blocks rank eighth in NCAA Division II. Both
Brandon Suggs (1.67) and
Romelo Burrell (1.50) are averaging more than one block per game.
The Lions won both meetings last year, as they won by an average margin of 90.5-75.5 in the two games combined. Caldwell Jr. posted 13 points in the first contest, while Trimble dropped 18 points with five rebounds in the second meeting in mid-January.
Quincy is led by Malik Hardmon, who is posting 18.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Jamaurie Coakley is scoring 9.2 points per contest with a team-high 29 assists, and six steals.
