The Lindenwood men's basketball team (10-8, 10-8 GLVC) looks to make it four wins in-a-row, as the team goes against Indianapolis (9-10, 9-10 GLVC) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CST.
In the Lions' previous game, a double overtime thriller that saw
TJ Crockett finish with a school and conference-record 54 points, Lindenwood took down McKendree in a 116-109 finish. Crockett also finished with seven assists, six rebounds, two steals, and a block as he was recognized at the GLVC's Player of the Week and the Division II National Player of the Week.
Cameron Scales added 21 points and 14 rebounds in the senior night showdown, while
Brandon Trimble notched 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
The team is currently on a three-game winning streak, which began with an 89-77 overtime victory in Rolla, Mo. against Missouri S&T. Sandwiched in between the Missouri S&T win and the McKendree win was an 83-69 thrashing of Maryville at home on Feb. 11. On the road this season, Lindenwood is 4-4, and the team hopes to finish above .500 away from home and secure a ticket to the GLVC Postseason Tournament.
TEAM NOTES
The Lions are 2nd in the GLVC in fewest turnovers with 200.
With 347 free throws made, and an 80.9 percent mark at the charity stripe, Lindenwood is 1st in the conference.
Lindenwood is scoring 82.6 points per game which leads the conference and is 27th in the nation.
TJ Crockett is 1st in the nation and GLVC in points per game (28.2) and total points (508). Crockett has shot a league-leading 148 free throws and made a GLVC-best 131 free throws. Both are 2nd in Division II.
Romelo Burrell and
Cameron Scales are both t-9th in the conference with 6.7 rebounds per game.
