David Gagnon earned his second collegiate hat trick to lead men's ice hockey to a 7-1 win over Missouri State Saturday night at the Jordan Valley Ice Park in Springfield, Missouri.
The Lions outshot the Bears 53-34 and
Trent Burnham stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced to earn the win for Lindenwood in goal. The Lions outshot Missouri State 114 to 72 and outscored the No. 9 ranked Bears 13-2 in the two-game series as they won their ninth straight game to improve to 15-3-0 overall.
Barring some rescheduled contests, Lindenwood wraps up the regular season schedule with two games against No. 10 ranked Maryville University February 18-19. The puck drops at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night at the Maryville Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Missouri.
