Men’s Ice Hockey Wins Fifth Straight CSCHL Tournament

The Lions won their fifth consecutive Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) Tournament title with an 8-1 victory over Iowa State Sunday afternoon at the Iowa State Arena in Ames, Iowa.

Ryan Finnegan and Caige Sterzer each scored twice to help pace the Lindenwood offense, and Trent Burnham stopped 36 of 37 shots to earn the win in goal.  In two games, he stopped 59 of 61 shots to earn CSCHL Tournament MVP honors. 

The Lions will enter the American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division I Championship as the top seed with a record of 18-3-0 overall.  The event runs March 10-15 on home ice at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
