The Lindenwood men's basketball team (7-12, 2-4 OVC) will return to Hyland Arena on Thursday night to host Southern Indiana (10-9, 3-3 OVC) for an 8:00 p.m. tip in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions are looking to rebound after a three-consecutive losses as of late. Lindenwood is coming off of a 10-point loss to SIUE, as
Brandon Trimble and
Keenon Cole tied for the team leader in points with 12 each. Trimble knocked down 3-of-5 from behind the arc, while Cole was 5-of-9 from the field.
Lindenwood is 1-1 at home during conference competition, as the only loss came by three points to Tennessee State. Lindenwood earned a quality 82-64 win over Tennessee Tech on New Year's Eve at home.
Chris Childs remains the top point-getter, generating 14.4 points per night.Â
Kevin Caldwell Jr. and Cole are each posting 12.1 points per game, as Cole is shooting over 50 percent from behind the arc. Caldwell Jr. has dished out a team-best 65 assists.Â
Cam Burrell and David Wear have each pulled down over 100 rebounds, while Burrell is adding 10.9 points per game.
The Screaming Eagles have won its last two conference games, including a convincing 80-66 victory over UT Martin this past Saturday. USI picked up a 74-67 win over Little Rock in Evansville, Ind. on national television (ESPNU). The Screaming Eagles are posting 76.4 points per game on 44.3 percent shooting from the field. USI is led by Isaiah Swope (13.6) and Trevor Lakes (13.2) who lead the team in points per game.
Lindenwood hosts Morehead State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Hyland Arena.
