Track and Field Competes at Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE, TENN. – On Friday and Saturday, the Lindenwood track and field teams competed at the Vanderbilt Invitational, where 40 plus track and field programs were represented. The Lions competed among some of the top programs in the country and held their own against them. The Lions had some great performances, with a multiplicity of individuals placing in the top 10 places in their respective events.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
60m – Walkes-Miller (6.86) placed fifth.
200m – Jameel Walkes-Miller (21.83) placed fifth.
400m – Brandon Noble (49.73) placed 25th
5000m – Anders Hekkli (14:58.91) placed 15th.
High Jump – Brendan Harter (1.99m) placed sixth.
Long Jump – Sam Coupland (6.84m) placed seventh.
 
TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
200m – Sa'Nijah Houston (25.99) placed 35th.
400m – Houston (58.80) placed 28th.
Weight Throw – Ashley Shoemake (15.48m) placed eighth.
Shot Put – Aliyah Robertson (12.62m) placed 15th.
 
UP NEXT
The Lions will return to competition on January 26 and 27 to participate in the Illinois Challenge.
