CHARLESTON, ILL. – From Thursday through Saturday, track and field competed at the OVC Outdoor Championships. On the women's side of the championships, Lindenwood placed sixth with 48 points, and on the men's side, placed fifth with 55 points. Individually, Lindenwood had nine top-three finishes over the course of the championship. The Lions also had multiple program records broken, as well as a multiplicity of solid performances. Lindenwood capped of the event placing third in the men's 4x400 meter relay.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
100 Meter – Jameel Walkes-Miller (10.32) placed third.
200 Meter – Walkes-Miller (20.81) placed third, breaking personal best.
110 Meter Hurdles – Biel Salas (13.99) placed third.
400 Meter Hurdles – Landon Oxford (53.15) placed second, breaking personal best.
Triple Jump – Dominique Hall (14.94m) placed second.
Decathlon – Sam Coupland scored 6389 points, placing fourth, breaking program record.

TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
400 Meter – Gabby Russina (56.37) placed third.
Shot Put – Aliyah Robertson (13.61m) placed fifth.
Discus – Kimberly Lugg (49.19m) placed second.
Hammer – Ashley Shoemake (53.18m) placed second.
Javelin – Kendall Klewer (43.13m) placed third.
Heptathlon – Kinsey Dueker scored 4494 points, placing fifth, breaking program record.
