Olympic weightlifting earned three individual championships and had several other medalists at the Virus Weightlifting Finals (powered by Rogue Fitness) December 4-7 at the Ocean Center Convention Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Bobby Hill earned the championship in the Junior Category Finals with first place in the snatch and second in the clean and jerk. Competing in the Senior 79 kg weight class, he took 16
th in both the snatch and clean and jerk and finished 14
th in overall with a total of 260 kg, increasing his competition total by 10 kg.
Ella Nicholson the Junior Finals title in the 77 kg class with a 245 kg total, taking first in both the snatch and clean and jerk. She also took first in the snatch, second in the clean and jerk, and second in total in the Senior category and tied her personal record competition total.
Chelsea Enemor earned the 86+ kg  Junior Virus Championship by finishing first in the snatch, and clean and jerk with a total of 232 kg. In the Senior division, she finished second in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total, improving her personal record competition total by 11 kg.
Additional Results
Malachi Woodard: Second in snatch in the Junior category and sixth in the snatch in the Senior category. He increased his snatch personal record by three kilograms.
Grace Montgomery: Second in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total in the 77 kg weight class totaling 212 kg. Seventh in snatch, sixth in clean and jerk, and seventh in total in the Senior category.
George Upmeyer: Third in snatch, clean and jerk, and total in the Senior division 110 kg weight class, totaling 350 kg and increasing his personal record competition total by two kilograms.
Chase Zilcosky: Fifth in snatch, clean and jerk, and total in the 60 kg Senior Men's weight class, totaling 214 kg and increasing his competition total by six kilograms.
Aleah Baron: Sixth in the snatch, fourth in clean and jerk, and fifth for total in the 86+ kg class with a total of 183 kg. She finished 29
th in the snatch, 23
rd in clean and jerk, and 29
th for total in the Senior category.
James Tice: 11
th in the snatch with a 136 kg lift in the 110 kg Senior division. He was forced to withdraw before posting a total due to a wrist injury prior to the clean and jerk.
Calvin Lackey: Finished 19
th in the snatch, 89 kg weight class, but had to withdraw before the clean and jerk due to an elbow injury.
Cameron Lee: 22
nd in the snatch and 15
th in the clean and jerk in the 88 kg class with a 283 kg total, tying his personal record competition total.
Rylee Kara: 33
rd in the snatch, 43
rd in the clean and jerk, and 39
th in the 69kg weight class with a 173 kg total.
The next major event for Olympic weightlifting is the National University Championships April 9-12 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Â
