The men's and women's bowling teams each finished third at the Kohawk Invitational February 7-8 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

It was a strong start for the Lady Lions in a five-team game block on Saturday as they posted a score of 1037 which was good enough for a slim lead. After following with 922, Lindenwood still led, but only by 18 pins. Game three proved to be a struggle resulting in a score of only 840. The Lady Lions rebounded with 934 and 1009 to close out the day with a total of 4742 for third place. They were 134 pins behind tournament leader Mount Mercy, 118 behind second place Judson, and 249 ahead of St. Ambrose in fourth.
Sunday included 16 baker games in four, four-game sets. Lindenwood started slowly with sets of 709 and 672. The final two sets were much better with the Lady Lions finishing with 785 and 812, including high games of 256 and 244. With a baker total of 2978 (186.13 average), Lindenwood had a grand total of 7720 to secure third place. MMU claimed the title with 7983, followed by Judson with 7961. Coe College took fourth with 7460.

In the men's event, the Lions were steady through the first few games on Saturday, finishing with 1004, 1008, and 1012. They improved for the final two games, posting 1116 and 1075. With a day one total of 5215, Lindenwood sat in fifth place. Mount Mercy was well ahead in first, but the Lions were only 146 pins behind St. Ambrose in second, just 61 behind Coe College in third, and 10 behind Judson in fourth.
The Lions were steady once again during baker play on Sunday, averaging just under 200 for the 16 games. They managed to break 200 twice each set with highs of 227 and 221. With sets of 817, 793, 784, and 800, Lindenwood added 3194 (199.63 average) for a grand total of 8409. That moved the Lions up to third place, finishing 11 pins ahead of Quincy University in fourth and 90 ahead of Wartburg College in fifth. MMU claimed the tournament trophy with St. Ambrose taking second.
Charlie Burns totaled 1169 (233.8 average), including high games of 265 and 247, to finish sixth in the men's field of 164 players.
Luke Batchelor finished 15
th with 1072 (214.4 average) and
Emmanuel McPherson took 41
st with 998 (199.6 average).
Alex David came off the bench and shot back-to-back games of 255 to help the Lindenwood cause.
In the women's field of 118,
Liz Rittenour totaled 1015 (203 average), including a high game of 252, to tie for fourth place and earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Hailey Bozych was right behind in sixth with 1009 (201.8 average),
Maddie Millsaps took 10
th with 983 (196.6 average), and
Isabelle Fletcher finished 15
th with 950 (190 average).

th Annual Hoosier Classic February 14-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
