Archery finished fifth out of 32 teams at Collegiate 3D Nationals October 6-7 at the Graham Creek Interpretive Center in Foley, Alabama. Cumberlands University won the title, followed by Pikeville, Lindsey Wilson, and Texas A & M.
Mixed Team in Shoot-off
Points are earned by each team finishing in the top eight of each category. The Lions posted top eight finishes in six different competitions. The top performance, second place, came in Women's Olympic Recurve from
Kenzie Yates,
KC Robinson, and
Sarah Jungmeyer.
Anna Hoecklemann,
Camille Martin, and
Ryley Schaub took third in Women's Fixed Pins;
Hailey Moore,
Katie Wondell, and
Sydney Nelson finished fourth in Women's Barebow; and
Cody Mosley,
Jordan Gregg, and
Riley Laws took fourth in Men's Fixed Pins.
Gage Kellett,
Justin Hall, and
Lawson Veit finished fourth in Men's Open Team and Kellett, Gregg, and Yates took fifth in Mixed Equipment Team.
Individually, Kellett had the highest finish, taking second in Men's Compound.
David Hollenberg took third in Men's Barebow, Yates finished sixth in Women's Olympic Recurve,
Peyton Willeford took seventh in Men's Olympic Recurve, and Mosley finished seventh in Men's Fixed Pins.
Archery has only competed at the event for three years, but has improved every season. After taking 10
th in 2021, the Lions finished sixth last year.
After several weeks off from competition, Lindenwood returns to action December 3 for a St. Louis Bowhunters event at St. Louis Bowhunters Club in St. Charles, Missouri, then travels to Springfield, Illinois for the Midwest Open Indoor Pro-Am December 15-17.
