Box Score The Lindenwood Lions baseball team fell behind early Sunday afternoon and lost to Arkansas Tech 5-3 in Magnolia, Ark.
Arkansas Tech jumped out to a 5-0 lead after scoring two runs in the second and three runs in the third. The Lions were able to cut into the lead in the third with a single tally.
Lindenwood continued to chip away at the lead scoring two runs in the seventh. But unfortunately for the Lions they could not bring any more runs across the plate.
Lindenwood was out hit 12-8 and the team also committed three errors.
Daniel Weiman led the Lions at the plate going two-for-three, and
Colton Moore drove in two runs.
Austin Klein started on the hill for Lindenwood and went just three innings. Klein surrendered five runs and struck out just one.
Ryan Griffin came out of the bullpen to give the team some good innings. He threw the last six innings giving up no runs and striking out two.
The loss drops the Lions to 2-4 on the season. Lindenwood will have a rematch with Arkansas Tech next weekend in Russellville, Ark.
