It was announced on Tuesday that
Dawson Hokuf of the Lindenwood baseball team earned second team All-OVC honors after a strong 2024 campaign.
Hokuf put together a solid senior season in 2024. The Riverside, Calif. native paced the Lions in average (.344), OPS (.981), home runs (6), runs batted in (33) and doubles (16). His .533 slugging percentage also led the team.  The 16 doubles rank eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The senior split time between catcher and first base during the year, playing in 52 games, starting 50 of them. Hokuf notched 62 hits, including 15 multi-hit games. The 62 hits ranked second on the team. Inside the OVC, Hokuf compiled a .340 batting average to go along with two homers and 17 RBI.
During his two seasons in a Lindenwood uniform, Hokuf has hit .310 in 102 career games. He blasted 11 home runs, drove in 59 runs, while posting a .479 slugging percentage and a .401 on base percentage. In the field, he compiled a .992 fielding percentage.
