The Lions jumped out to an early lead in the first when
Colton Moore hit an RBI single driving in
Wade Rothermich. Moore started the fourth with a double and advanced to third on a single by
Nathan Prindle.
Mike Wilson laid down a bunt for an infield single and allowed Moore to score.
Rothermich led off the fifth inning with a single and a stolen base.
Mike Failoni drove in Rothermich on a single adding to the Lions lead.
Kyle Leslie hit an RBI double driving in Prindle from second in the sixth. The Lions held a four-run lead after six innings.
Lindenwood added one more run in the eighth and had a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. The Lynx scored five runs in the ninth beating the Lions 6-5.
Failoni went one-for-four in the game ending the 2013 season hitting .500. Rothermich, Moore, and Prindle each had two hits. Wilson had three hits and one RBI.
Brendan Kleekamp threw seven strong innings allowing just one run on three hits and striking out seven batters.
The Lions finish the 2013 season 23-24 and an MIAA record of 21-17.
