The roller hockey Black squad won all five games played in Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey League (MCRHL) action Saturday and Sunday at the All-American Sports Mall in St. Louis. The Lions defeated Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville D3, Illinois State D3, Missouri S & T D3, Kansas State D3, and Maryville D3.

In the opening contest of the weekend Saturday morning, Lindenwood stopped the Cougars 8-1. Nicholaus Meyer earned Star #1 honors with three goals and two assists,
Jeremiah Keao was named Star #2 with three goals and one assist, and
Lucas LeClair earned Star #3 recognition with a goal and two assists. The Lions outshot SIU-E 30-13 as goaltender
Jonathan Chappell stopped 12 of the 13 shots he faced to earn the victory.
Later that afternoon, Lindenwood skated past the Redbirds 13-2. Keao was named Star #1 with four goals, Meyer earned Star #2 honors with two goals and two assists, and Matthew Tilley received Star #3 recognition with a goal and three assists. Aidan Bosek stopped eight of the 10 shots he faced as the Lions outshot Illinois State 32-10.
In the nightcap on Saturday, the Miners put up a good fight, but in the end Lindenwood prevailed 7-4. Keao was named Star #1 again with four goals and an assist, Tristin Zeik earned Star #2 recognition with a goal and assist, and
Michael Sapienza received Star #3 honors with a goal and assist. Chappell earned his second win of the day in goal with 13 saves on 17 shots as the Lions outshot Missouri S & T 38-17.
Lindenwood dominated the Wildcats in the Sunday morning game 8-0. Meyer had three goals and an assist to be named Star #1, Zeik earned Star #2 honors with three goals and an assist, and Keao was named Star #3 with two goals and one assist. The Lions outshot Kansas State 48-6 with Bosek stopping all six shots he faced.
In the final game of the weekend, Lindenwood defeated the Saints 8-2. Sapienza was named Star #1 with two goals and an assist, Keao earned Star #2 honors with two goals, and LeClair received Star #3 recognition with two goals. Chappell stopped 22 of the 24 pucks he faced as the Lions edged Maryville in shots 31-24.
Lindenwood Black begins its season with a 5-0 record. The Lions return to action in the MCRHL with five games November 19-20 at the Bethel Wildcat Arena in Huntingdon, Tennessee. Lindenwood faces Henry Ford Community College at 1 p.m., Michigan State AA at 6 p.m., and Ohio State D2 at 10 p.m. on Saturday; then Ohio State AA at 8 a.m., and Bethel (Tenn.) University at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
