The roller hockey Black squad won four out of five games played at the Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey League (MCRHL) event February 7-8 at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri. The Lions defeated Purdue University AA twice, 15-0 and 8-2 and also topped Maryville D3 7-4 before falling to the Purdue D3 squad 6-4 on Saturday. They rebounded for a 13-3 victory over St. Louis Community College (JC) on Sunday.
In the shutout win over the Boilermakers, Lindenwood scored five in the opening period, six in the second, and four in the third.
Braysen Reagan earned the shutout victory in goal.
Brayden Uglow earned Star No. 1 honors with four goals and three assists,
Carter Banks was named Star No. 2 with a hat trick and an assist, and
Caden McGuirk received Star No. 3 recognition with a goal and three assists.
Nolan Lawrenz and Joshua Collins also pitched in with a pair of goals each.

The Lions needed a big comeback to defeat Maryville D3. The game was tied 2-2 after the first period. The Saints scored late in the second to take a 3-2 lead and then added a goal early in the third to extend the advantage to two. Lindenwood scored the final five goals unanswered to get the three-goal victory.
Nolan Lawrenz earned Star No. 1 honors with a hat trick and two assists and Joshua Collins was named Star No. 3 with a goal and assist.
In the rematch against the Boilermakers, the Lions started quickly with six goals in the opening frame. After adding another two in the second to build an eight-goal lead, Purdue AA scored twice in the third.
Bode Neely earned Star No. 1 honors with a hat trick,
Jack Horrocks was named Star No. 2 with a goal and three assists, and
Nolan Lawrenz received Star No. 3 recognition with two goals.
Playing their fourth game of the day, it's likely the Lions partially ran out of steam in their loss to Purdue D3. The Boilermakers scored three in the first five minutes and led 4-2 at the first intermission. Lindenwood won the second period, outscoring Purdue by a goal, but the Lions still trailed 5-4 at the second intermission. Lindenwood tried to find the equalizer in the third but came up short. The Boilermakers scored their sixth goal with 22-second remaining in regulation to clinch the contest. Niko Scott took the loss in goal for the Lions.
Lindenwood returned to the rink at 10am Sunday morning after a short night, but it did not show against St. Louis Community College. The Lions scored seven in the first period and led 9-0 in the second before the Archers were able to break the shutout. Lindenwood added four more in the third while giving up a pair of goals to SLCC.

With the four wins and a loss, roller hockey Gold is now 8-1 in the MCRHL and overall. The Lions return to action for another MCRHL weekend February 14-15. Lindenwood is scheduled to play Ohio State AA at 11 a.m. EST, Michigan Tech University D3 at 4 p.m. EST, and Purdue University AA at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday with a single game against Michigan State AA at 7 a.m. EST Sunday morning. All four games will be played at Heatwave Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
