Women's ACHA ice hockey ended its season with a tough 1-0 loss to the University of Jamestown in the Women's Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) Tournament on Friday at Sidner Ice Arena in Fremont, Nebraska. The Lions played great defense and
Erica Didocha was solid in goal, but the Jimmies were just a bit better with an early goal proving to be the difference.
That lone Jamestown goal came at 9:54 in the first unassisted. Lindenwood had an opportunity to tie the game later in the period after the Jimmies were called for slashing, but the power play was unable to deliver. The Lions had another man-advantage chance midway through the second after an interference call on Jamestown, but once again they couldn't get the equalizer.
Lindenwood spent six minutes on the penalty kill through the remainder of the game and was unable to mount any sustained pressure on the Jimmies.
Jamestown out shot the Lions 39-18 overall. Didocha stopped 38 of the 39 shots she faced for a .974 save percentage.
With the loss, Lindenwood concluded the season with a record of 0-14 in conference play and 0-27-1 overall.
