Shotgun sports earned several individual top 10 finishes at the NSCA World Super Sporting Championships September 4-6 at the Northbrook Sports Club in Hainesville, Illinois.
Nine Lions faced some of the most challenging and technical targets they have seen in the 200-target Main Event and the 200 target FITASC event.
Jack Sikes,
Gavin Navarro, and
Lucas Corselli all finished in the top 10 of the Main Event Junior class. Sikes and Corselli continued their strong weekend with top 10 finishes in the FITASC Junior class. Â
Some Lindenwood athletes also competed in the Make-A-Break Shoot. Sikes performed well enough to earn a spot in the Master Class division final shoot-off.
Junior
Anna Rawe reflected on the experience.
"We loved the challenge of competing on such a difficult course with extremely technical targets that we don't typically see on a weekly basis," she said. "The weekend gave everyone an opportunity to test their skills, compete against some of the best shooters in the game, and gain valuable experience.
"While competition was a major part of the weekend, it was also a great opportunity for our team to spend time together so early in the season, and the high morale within the team made it a weekend well spent."
Shotgun sports returns to action at the Drury Panther Classic September 12-13 and the Midland University Invitational September 19-20.
