Despite a season high 28 shots on goal, women's ACHA ice hockey was once again frustrated on offense in a 5-0 shutout loss to Miami (Ohio) Saturday night at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
After a scoreless first period, the Redhawks sounded the horn off the opening faceoff of the second to take a 1-0 lead. They added another goal at 15:53 to increase the margin to two.
A Lions holding penalty carried into the final frame and Miami took advantage with a power play goal at the 51-second mark of the third. The Redhawks scored twice more at even strength at 13:15 and 18:55 for the final margin.
Miami outshot Lindenwood 43-28 with
