Men’s Rugby to Host First Round as CRAA Releases D1A Playoff Bracket

The College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) has announced the Division 1A playoff bracket, formally setting the postseason field and structure for the national championship.

The playoff format includes the top eight teams in the national rankings from both the East and West regions, creating two highly competitive brackets comprised of the country's highest-performing programs.

Lindenwood enters the postseason having already faced several teams included in the field, using a challenging February schedule to prepare for the demands of knockout rugby.

"We've actually seen this movie before, as we stacked up four of the teams in this very bracket to play during February," said Head Coach Josh Macy. "Our guys understand what it takes to lock in for a month, and April will be no different."

The postseason now shifts to a single-elimination format, where consistency and execution over a condensed period will determine advancement. Lindenwood will open postseason play against Penn State on April 11 at 3 p.m. at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Missouri.
